Kevin Villalovos, OneUP Executive Chef
As OneUP executive chef, Kevin Villalovos leads Grand Hyatt San Francisco’s food and beverage operations. In addition to overseeing daily operations and menu development for OneUP Restaurant and Lounge, he supervises banquets and event catering. Villalovos revamped OneUP’s breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar menus after joining the hotel, bringing seasonal ingredients to his simple, Northern California-influenced American bistro classics.
Before joining the OneUP team, Villalovos was chef de cuisine and supported the 2008 launch of Cure Bar & Bistro at Grand Hyatt Washington D.C. He’s also been a culinary team member at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, Grand Hyatt Denver, Hyatt Regency Dallas and Hyatt Regency Dallas Fort Worth, where he completed a three-year apprenticeship program. The Texas native studied culinary arts at El Centro College in Dallas.
Chef Villalovos served as a mentor to inner-city youth through Brainfood, a nonprofit in Washington, D.C., and he supports culinary and philanthropic in the San Francisco Bay Area.
