OneUP Restaurant & Lounge is an American Bistro incorporating classical cooking methods to create unprovincial, artistic and inventive food, sure to delight the palate and stimulate the senses. Led by our culinary team, and designed by CSS Architecture, which created such San Francisco restaurants as Twenty Five Lusk and Barbacco, OneUP is a dynamic and lively space that dominates above the lobby of Grand Hyatt San Francisco.
Restaurant:
Referencing the great tradition of Northern California’s culinary culture, the restaurant’s showcase jewel box kitchen becomes a welcoming hearth to the intimate dining room. Delicate hand-blown glass pendant lamps infuse the space with a warm ambient glow, while a large communal chef’s table sits directly in front of the kitchen, allowing guests a front row seat for the culinary action. Ingredients are sourced locally and the menu changes with the seasons, allowing the culinary team to provide a unique experience throughout the year.
Lounge:
Moving from the restaurant to the lounge, guests pass through a sleek wine and liquor library, wherein thousands of bottles that make up the extensive wine and liquor program are displayed. Behind the bar, a unique hand-crafted cocktail menu created by San Francisco master mixologist Scott Beattie is paired with local beers and our very own OneUP Whiskey. Hyatt partnered with local distillery Charbav to offer a 22-month-old, 138-proof whiskey which will only be served in the lounge. OneUP lounge will also feature both live music and top Bay Area DJs Tuesday through Saturday in addition to providing a backdrop for the launch of local, up-and-coming artists through monthly events.
