Executive Chef Dan Elinan has been a member of the Hyatt family for 8 years. A native of Washington D.C., Elinan brings over 12 years of fine dining and haute cuisine experience from establishments ranging from five star luxury hotels to some of the nation’s well-regarded restaurants including Thomas Keller’s French Laundry and Eric Ripert’s Le Bernardin in New York. With Elinan’s global experience in the food industry, he has gained a deeper passion for food by learning culinary techniques in French, Latin, North American, Caribbean, Indian, Mediterranean, Asian, and Central European cuisines. With his culinary background and creative cooking style, Executive Chef Elinan is looking forward to creating memorable dishes using the amazing products of the San Francisco Bay area.
Elinan joined Grand Hyatt San Francisco as the Executive Chef in March 2013. He earned his bachelor degree in Culinary Arts Management from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Prior to his appointment, he was the Executive Chef at Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa.
